This is big surfing territory and there are walks and hikes in the mountains surrounding. For horse lovers, out rides can be arranged and the working Hout Bay Harbour offers shells, craft, jewellery, antique shops, as well as excellent restaurants, wine shops and fresh fish markets and cruises. The World of Birds is situated in Hout Bay and is the largest bird park in Africa. Apart from coming into close contact with our feathered friends, you can also meet squirrels, monkeys and reptiles.
