The website https://luxuryescapes.capetown is owned and operated by Cape Town Luxury Escapes (Pty) Ltd (“Cape Town Luxury Escapes”). Below you will find our standard booking terms and conditions. The following terms and conditions form the basis of your contract with Cape Town Luxury Escapes. Please note that the terms applicable to your reservation are based on the terms specified on the final booking agreement signed by the customer. Each property’s cancellation terms and conditions may vary, therefore please refer back to your signed rental agreement for the terms and conditions for the specific property booked. Where a signed booking agreement between Cape Town Luxury Escapes and a visitor or customer exists, and the terms of that other agreement conflicts with the terms of the standard booking terms and conditions, the terms of that other agreement shall prevail.
- In order to confirm a reservation, a deposit payment of 50% is due within 48 hours of written confirmation of booking.
- Final Balance payment of 50% is due 60 days prior to arrival.
- Failure to comply with these payment terms result in your reservation automatically being cancelled.
Standard cancellation and refund policy:
In the event that you cancel your booking, in full or partially, for any reason whatsoever Cape Town Luxury Escapes will levy cancellation charges as defined below. In the occasional instance where Cape Town Luxury Escapes is able to obtain waivers of cancellation fees and/or secure an exgratia refund from suppliers, Cape Town Luxury Escapes will pass this on to you less the admin fee. However, Cape Town Luxury Escapes makes no guarantees as to securing such waivers or refunds.
- Bookings cancelled more than 42 days (6 weeks) prior to the arrival date forfeit 10% of the full booking value. The remainder of the deposit balance will be fully refunded.
- Bookings cancelled between 42 and 14 days of arrival date will receive a voucher for the value of their deposit for a future booking.
- Bookings cancelled within 14 days of the arrival date forfeit full payment.
- Refunds and waiver of cancellation policies are at the discretion of management and the ability to re-let the property.
Cancellations of bookings must be done in writing. Where cancellations are sent by email, you must obtain an email proof of receipt and retain written acknowledgement of receipt from Cape Town Luxury Escapes. Cape Town Luxury Escapes will make every effort to confirm the required trip and related trip services after deposit payment. In the unlikely event of us being unable to confirm the itinerary travel services, you will be offered alternative available travel services. Should the alternative available travel services not be acceptable to you, Cape Town Luxury Escapes will provide a full refund. Cape Town Luxury Escapes will make every effort to ensure delivery of services as defined in the confirmed itinerary however we reserve the right to cancel services where unavoidable due to circumstances beyond the control of Cape Town Luxury Escapes. In the unlikely instance that Cape Town Luxury Escapes should cancel services defined in the confirmed itinerary, Cape Town Luxury Escapes will provide a full refund on the cancelled service/s only. Cape Town Luxury Escapes will make every effort to avoid misquotation. However, we reserve the right to cancel a reservation without liability or penalty if an obvious error or omission leads to a material cost implication. No refunds will be given by Cape Town Luxury Escapes for partly used vouchers or for no-shows.
Merchant Outlet country and transaction currency
The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction currency is South African Rand (ZAR). Please note that should you have been quoted in foreign currency and wish to settle payment by means of a credit card, your quotation will be converted to South African Rand (ZAR) prior to the transaction being processed due to foreign exchange regulations by the South African Reserve Bank. The rate of exchange on the day that the transaction is processed will be used to determine the equivalent Rand amount with any resulting foreign exchange differences or bank charges being for the client’s account. The South African Reserve Bank prohibits South African companies from taking foreign credit card payments and keeping the payment in foreign currency. The payment has to be converted to South African Rand before it is credited to the recipient. Clients are welcome to settle payment by means of a bank transfer – in this instance the amount will be converted by your bankers on presentation of our invoice. It is the client’s responsibility to inform and instruct their bankers that the net invoice amount must equal the funds clearing into the Cape Town Luxury Escapes bank account and that all bank charges are for the client’s account.
We provide a link with dates, budget and a location for possible stays in Cape Town through Booking.com. Please note that we do not own, manage or contract for any Holiday Rental, Restaurant or Experience listed on Booking.com. Because neither Cape Town Luxury Escapes nor its corporate affiliates are parties to Holiday Rental transactions, Restaurant reservations or Experience-related transactions between travellers and Booking.com, any dispute or conflict involving an actual or potential transaction between you and Booking.com, including the quality, condition(s), safety or legality of a listed Holiday Rental, Restaurant or Experience, the accuracy of the listing Content, the Advertiser’s ability to rent a Holiday Rental property, provide you with a reservation, meal or other service at a Restaurant or provide an Experience, or your ability to pay for a Holiday Rental property, a Restaurant meal or service or an Experience, is solely the responsibility of each user.

Card transactions made via Visa, Mastercard, UnionPay or American Express will be acquired for Cape Town Luxury Escapes via PayGate (Pty) Ltd who are the approved payment gateway for all South African Acquiring Banks. PayGate uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no Card details are stored on the website. Users may go to www.paygate.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy.
Cape Town Luxury Escapes takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction including sale of goods and services sold on this website, customer service and support, dispute resolution and delivery of goods.
Country of domicile
This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and Cape Town Luxury Escapes chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature.
Cape Town Luxury Escapes may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.
