This home includes housekeeping from Monday to Saturday, excluding Sundays and public holidays. Additional housekeeping can be arranged upon request for these days.

Policies:

• Child Policy: This home is not ideal for children under 10, due to the stairs and uncovered pool.
• Smoking Policy: This property is strictly non-smoking, both inside and outside.

Guest will have access to the full house, which is accessible through the front door.

Upon arrival at the house you will be welcomed by a representative who will show you around. I can assist with any villa requirements such as private chef onsite, pre-arrival shopping, restaurant recommendations and reservations, tours, activities & transport. I speak fluent English, Dutch, Flemish and French. Once your booking is confirmed, I can coordinate with you directly via email to create the perfect itinerary for your holiday.

Please note that a late check-in fee will apply for check-ins after 8pm, payable to the property manager.

Refundable Breakage Deposit:

We require a refundable breakage deposit of R20,000 to be paid prior to check-in. This will be refunded within 48 hours of check-out if no damages are found. If damages are found the relevant charges will be applied.

Load Shedding:

The national electricity supply grid in South Africa is currently under strain and, at times, the electricity provider, Eskom, cannot provide sufficient electricity to meet everyone’s needs. In order to manage electricity demand, Eskom imposes power outages, “Load Shedding”, at scheduled time slots (usually 2 hours at a time) in the different areas (zones) of Cape Town, and indeed throughout the whole of South Africa.

Please note, the entire house remains powered around the clock, including all lights, entertainment systems, Wi-Fi, and electrical outlets.

Whilst the solar panels and power back-up systems are comprehensive, we advise guests to download the load shedding app “Load Shedding Notifier” before arrival, so that guests will know when the villa is running on the back-up system. The app is also useful for planning your evening’s entertainment throughout the city, by actively avoiding areas that are experiencing load shedding. We would also recommend that guests manage their energy use efficiently during load shedding times to ensure they don’t run out of power.

Staff:

Camps Chic has a full-time Host who will ensure your check-in goes smoothly and will be available should you need any assistance during your stay.

The villa also has a housekeeper who provides daily cleaning, tidying to a high standard (Monday to Friday). Laundry services are also offered where the first load is complimentary, extra loads are at an additional fee. Weekend cleaning services can be arranged at an additional fee. Pre-booking is required.

Breakfast:

Chef service can be arranged for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Pre-booking is required.

Late Check-In Fee:

Please note there is a late check-in fee for check-ins after 8pm, payable to the property manager.

House Rules:

• Quiet hours 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM

Additional Rules:

• Overnight occupation is strictly according to the number of persons on the reservation contract. No loud noise or parties are permitted.
• We understand that accidents happen. But we do ask that you please let us know when they do so we can fix them more efficiently, limiting any costs incurred.
• Parties: Parties are strictly forbidden. Should you wish to request approval to host a lunch or dinner for up to 10 guests (including tenants), we will require you to agree to our conditions. The music will need to be turned down at 10 pm.
• Please do not leave children unattended. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times when using the swimming pool area. The owners do not accept liability for any incident related to the swimming pool as this area is not childproof. The villa is thus not suitable for children under 10 years.
• Smoking is strictly prohibited on the property. Failure to comply may result in charges being incurred by the tenant.
