This ultra-modern, spectacular & spacious Studio Loft is located in a prime position, hillside, with stunning ocean sunset views over Camps Bay & the Mountain. Boasting beautiful interior design. This bright sea facing apartment is ideal for a couple or two friends traveling together. This fabulous flat is perfectly located only 5 min walk to the beach & trendy Camps Bay promenade with many great restaurants. Housekeeping service is included every second day.

The Apartment Has:

• Fantastic Ocean view from the bedroom.
• King-sized bed.
• Plasma TV
• Security: Alarm and Electric fence surrounding property. (Highly secured!) Internal & external alarm system linked to 24-hour emergency response company.
• Housekeeping service (who work in the main house) will service the apartment on Monday, Wednesday & Friday, except for public holidays.
• Towels and linen are changed every 3rd day. (Excluding weekend and Public Holidays)
• There is no washing machine in the apartment. Our housekeeper Gloria can also assist with any washes or ironing, a fee will apply. (Kindly note this service is available on request on Monday, Wednesday & Friday)

Uncapped Wi-Fi:

• ADSL internet connection with Wi-Fi throughout the flat.

Surround Sound:

• Bluetooth compatible Sonos system throughout flat.

DSTV Satellite Television:

• In the living room.

You can access the full house via one main entrance.

You will meet the Steward or House Keeper at check-in and we will be available for any needs or requirements during your stay. Please note there is a R1000 late check-in fee for check-ins after 8pm, payable to the property manager.

Camps Bay has it all, including stunning beaches, nice walks to Clifton, trendy restaurants, great shopping, and a small beachfront market. It's a lovely, safe neighborhood and just a 15 minute drive to the city centre.

The Studio Loft is only a few minutes walk from public transport and taxis. The easiest way travel in the evening is with Uber, It's a very safe, well organized and a cost effective way to get around.

Check-In/Check-Out Times:

Check-in time is from 14:00 (2pm) on day of arrival
Check-out time is by 10:00 (10am) on day of departure

There is free wireless internet in the Studio Apartment

House Keys And Key Fobs (Remotes):

All guests will receive 2 sets of keys at check-in. If any keys or remote fobs are lost or not returned at the time of check out, guests will be charged R3000. This is because the locks, keys and fobs will need to be changed to maintain security.

Alarm:

The apartment is fully alarmed with both internal and external sensors. The alarm should always be set when leaving the apartment unoccupied.

The alarm is linked to a 24-hour armed response company, Bay Response, who will attend the property if the alarm is triggered. If the alarm is accidentally set off, please call Bay Response (contact details can be found in the Information Directory) or wait for them to arrive and quote the password “Sandpiper” when asked.

Setting The Alarm When Leaving Apartment:

• Ensure all doors and windows are closed and locked
• Exit via front door and once locked, push the blue button on key fob.
• A blue light will illuminate on the sensor to the right of the front door outside the apartment
• The alarm is now armed.
• Please be aware that the house staff will set the alarm when they leave the apartment if it is unoccupied.

Turning Off Alarm When Returning To Apartment:

• When at the front door, the blue light will be illuminated indicating the alarm is on. Just push the blue button once on the remote fob to turn off the alarm. Do not open the front door prior to turning off the alarm.

Setting The Alarm At Night When Inside The Apartment – Stay Function:

• While inside the house the external sensors can be armed to give added protection. This alarm function can be set from any of the alarm control panel located in the right hand cupboard next to the sink:
• On the control panel push STAY followed by 1970.
• There is a 60 second countdown until the alarm is set.
• Once the alarm is set Stay Armed will appear on the control panel.
• To turn off this alarm, either push the blue button on the fob, or type in 1970 on one of the control panels. When the alarm is off the control panel will say System Off.

Animals:

Animals are not permitted anywhere on the premises at any time.

Babysitting:

Babysitting can be arranged – please contact Lavinia.

Beach Towels:

Two beach towels have been provided for your use. Please do not use the towels from the bathroom outside the Studio

Blinds:

The blinds are raised and lowered using the remote control. Please ensure that the doors are fully closed before operating the blinds.

Glass Stackable Doors:

The apartment has glass stackable doors on the lower level which can be fully opened and stacked away to make the most of the beautiful scenery, and perfectly bringing the outdoors inside. There is a specific way in which to open and close these doors. Please note the instructions are below, however you will be shown at check-in how to do this as well as the option to ask either Caroline or Matthews to assist you with this.

• Open door, twist lever and turn to the left (anti-clockwise), disconnect panel and open inwards
• Take second glass panel and slightly push inwards to disconnect from adjourning panels
• Push open and slide glass panel and attach to the first door – there are connectors at the top of each door enabling it to slide and connect to each other.
• Repeat this process for the remaining glass panel doors in that section.
• Once all doors have been stacked together you must secure them to the inside wall using the door latch located at the bottom of the left hand wall, this will prevent them from moving and being banged into each other or subjected to the strong wind which can cause them to smash if they are not secured properly.
• Reverse the process above to close and stackable doors when closing.

Kitchen:

The apartment is equipped with modern appliances i.e. microwave, oven, hob and coffee machine for your use. Please see below brief instructions on how to use these appliances. If you would like more detailed instructions, please see manuals in the breakfast island drawers.

Chefs/Caterers:

Great private chefs are available – please contact Lavinia.

Electricity:

The fuse box is inside the kitchen cupboard by the kitchen sink. Please speak to the house staff or Lavinia if there are any electrical issues.

Hairdryers:

A hairdryer can be found in the cupboard of the bathroom.

Heating/Air-Conditioning:

The air-conditioning units is also equipped with a heating option. It uses a remote control that can be found in the Studio. Please turn off the air-con/heating when you are not in the house. Also please do not leave doors & windows open when using the AC unit otherwise they overwork and break down.

Housekeeping:

Caroline and Matthews work in the main house. They will service the Studio Apartment on a Monday, Wednesday & Friday.
Please feel free to tip the staff directly at the end of your stay, at your discretion. If you have requested additional services such as cooking and serving meals, shopping, laundry and ironing an additional gratuity would be appreciated.

Laundry And Dry Cleaning:

There is no washing machine in the apartment
Linen and towels are changed every third day.
Our housekeeper Caroline can assist with undertaking washing & ironing, an additional cost of R300/per load will apply – this is to be paid to Lavinia.

The Launderers, Shop 104B, The Promenade, Victoria Rd, Camps Bay.

Plug Sockets/Adapters:

There are international plugs plus additional adapters in the kitchen cupboard
Please leave these adapters in the house when leaving as they belong to Sandpiper.

Safes:

There is a safe in the studio loft bedroom in the cupboard which should be open on arrival. To use the safe input a four to six-digit memorised code with the door shut and press lock (bottom right-hand button). The safe will then flash up the code which has just been entered. To open the safe, input the memorised code and it will open.
For peace of mind and protection of the house staff, they are unable to open any safe. Please contact Lavinia if there are any problems re-opening a safe.

Smoking:

Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the apartment. Failure to comply may result in charges being incurred by guests to remove smoke odour from the property.

Television:

The apartment is equipped with a Samsung Smart TV, which is also NETFLIX, Prime Video, Disney, Apple TV & YouTube compatible. The TV is not connected to a DSTV satellite TV decoder but does have the DSTV Online app installed and is signed in on the Sandpiper DSTV profile for your usage.
You can turn on the TV with the TV Controller button at the bottom of the TV, and then use the Control menu. You can also use the Samsung Smart Remote to turn on the TV.

DSTV Satellite is set as the default channel and will be displayed on the screen when TV is switched on. The Smart TV options will also be on the screen for you to make a selection.
