Old-world charm meets modern elegance in this exquisitely presented and beautifully manicured property. Nestled in the heart of the exclusive suburb of Newlands at the base of Table Mountain, Villa Lea seamlessly blends colonial-era design with contemporary functionality.

Space:

Designed in a colonial-African style, the villa features large, spacious rooms with contemporary décor. The ground floor houses the living, dining, and entertaining areas, including a grand entrance hall, elegant sitting and living rooms, and a beautiful dining room with high ceilings.

The entrance hall features stunning parquet flooring and a cosy sitting area with plush leather couches and a large fireplace. The formal dining room boasts a ten-seater dining table, a large fireplace, and lovely views of the garden through a large bay window.

A huge, bright, and airy kitchen provides everything needed for effortless holiday living and entertaining. State-of-the-art appliances include a gas oven, a stove, and a dishwasher. A scullery houses a fridge-freezer, a washing machine, and a tumble dryer. A picnic-style table and benches provide a space to enjoy breakfast and informal meals. The kitchen features large windows that can be folded back to provide panoramic views of the garden.

Just off the kitchen is a casual family room with comfortable couches and chairs, with large sliding doors that open onto a patio, the garden, and the swimming pool area. A spacious television room features comfortable couches, an entertainment system, and sliding doors that open onto the garden. There is also a games room with a pool table and table football, featuring double doors that lead onto a patio and a cosy bar area.

Upstairs, there are five elegantly furnished bedrooms with carpeted floors, en-suite or shared bathrooms, and lovely garden or mountain views. The master bedroom features a king-size bed and a spacious en-suite bathroom with a large shower and a freestanding bath. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower. Two of the remaining bedrooms have twin beds, while the fifth bedroom has a single bed; these three rooms share a bathroom with a shower.

The villa is surrounded by an acre of mature gardens with stunning views of Table Mountain. There is a floodlit tennis court and a large swimming pool. A large pergola near the pool covers an eight-seater dining table for alfresco dining, and a smaller pergola in the garden offers an ideal spot for relaxing.

The entrance to the property is through two large iron gates that open automatically onto a sweeping in-and-out driveway. There is secure parking for several vehicles in the driveway, as well as a garage under the property for two cars.

This is a dedicated, year-round, self-catering holiday rental property that is exclusively and professionally managed. Our offices are based in Camps Bay. This property has been meticulously vetted prior to onboarding and comes with a dedicated 24-hour guest support team, housekeeping services on request, and hotel-grade amenities. Electricity:

South Africa has experienced periods of load-shedding (unscheduled electricity disruptions) over the last few years. This means that electricity is cut for periods of two and a half hours or more at a time. We often do not know in advance when this will happen. Most of our owners, however, have taken measures to ensure your comfort during your stay. An app is available for download to ensure you are aware of the schedule and can plan your day accordingly; please search your app store for Esp – The Load-Shedding App. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. This situation is beyond our control and is managed by South African electricity providers. Accordingly, neither Cape Town Luxury Escapes nor the owner shall be liable for any refunds, compensation, or discounts as a result of services being unavailable due to load-shedding.

Noise Control:

This property is situated in a quiet residential area, and we must adhere to strict noise control measures implemented by the body corporate and the city council. Therefore, by proceeding with this booking, you agree that you understand and accept the following conditions:

  • No parties of any kind are to be held at the property.
  • No noise or music that can be heard by neighbours is allowed between 21:00 and 07:00 during the week, or between 22:00 and 07:00 at weekends.
  • Hooting or shouting in the street is prohibited at all times.
  • Should you have guests visiting, please ensure they are aware that parking is limited and that they must not block any driveways or garages.

Travel Insurance:

It is imperative that you have adequate and fully comprehensive travel insurance, including cancellation cover and cover for the theft of personal items.

Groups:

Groups consisting only of solo travellers are not permitted unless requested in advance. No bachelor or bachelorette party groups are allowed.

Children:

While children are welcome at this property, there may be safety concerns for guests with younger children, such as balconies, split-level terraces, and unfenced pools. Guests staying with children do so at their own risk and are urged to take all due care during their stay.

Monthly Stays:

Please note that for monthly discounts, electricity costs will be for your own account.

  • Daily housekeeping is not included in the rate but is available at an additional cost upon request. Cape Town Luxury Escapes requires housekeeping to take place at least once a week for the duration of your stay.

  • Reasonable water usage is included and will be monitored according to current city limits.
