Plantation Villa

Plantation Villa is built in the classic plantation style on a double plot with outside open verandahs. Ideal for a memorable holiday or to celebrate a special occasion; for a family/friend reunion or a romantic couple stay. Situated in the holiday haven of Hermanus, known for its whales, 1.5 hours from Cape Town International Airport and 2 hours from Cape Town. Nestled in the leafy suburb of Eastcliff, a 5-minute walk to the Hermanus centre and to the famous cliff path.

The Space

The house comfortably sleeps 12 guests in finely decorated, spacious, and well-appointed bedrooms with 6 bathrooms. The sixth bedroom is an annexe adjacent to the house and looks onto the herb garden. An additional small bedroom (13th person) could be added for an extra granny, child, or teenager.

The Interior:

A welcoming double-volume entrance with sweeping staircase leads to the upstairs four bedrooms and the second sitting room. There is also a large TV/sitting room downstairs which looks onto a games patio and central courtyard.

A large gourmet kitchen and open-plan dining area meet the expectations of serious chefs, and a separate scullery looks onto the herb garden. Adjacent to this area is a Morso fireplace for those cold Hermanus days and a conservatory for easy socialising, which opens onto the garden.

The indigenous garden, a haven of tranquillity, offers an outside dining area next to the pool with access to the gas barbecue or charcoal/wood Weber braai. Two yellow-trunked fever trees near the pool attract birds and offer shade near the sunbathing lawn and loungers. In addition, memorable lunches with family or friends can be held under the two white stinkwoods, which offer shade in the central garden.

There is also a lunch bower for cooler outdoor dining to escape the hot midday sun. Last but not least, the Pierre Cronje dining table inside the house can seat 16, and the open sliding doors bring the outside in.

Notes

Early Check-in / Late Checkout:

We often have same-day check-ins and checkouts. Our check-in time is after 3 pm, and our checkout time is before 10 am. We will do our best to accommodate early check-in or late checkout requests. If we are unable to accommodate these requests, we will try to offer an early bag drop or late luggage storage. Note that this is not guaranteed and will be confirmed the day before your check-in/check-out.

The Neighbourhood

Plantation Villa is nestled in the peaceful, leafy suburb of Eastcliff, offering the ultimate location for exploring Hermanus. Positioned just a 5-minute walk from the town centre and the famous Cliff Path, the property combines quiet residential comfort with effortless access to local markets, vibrant galleries, and the world's best land-based whale watching. Pristine coastal spots like Langbaai, Kammabaai, and the Blue Flag Grotto Beach are all within a scenic 5 to 10-minute drive.

House Rules

• No parties or events.
• No smoking inside the property.
• No unregistered guests are permitted on the premises.
• Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. Please be respectful of the neighbours.
• Pets are not allowed unless approved in advance.
• Please switch off lights, air conditioning/heating, and appliances when not in use or when leaving the property.
• Please keep the property clean and tidy, and treat it as you would your own home.
• Dispose of rubbish in the bins provided and avoid leaving food out, especially overnight.
• Check-out is by 10:00 am, unless otherwise arranged.
• Please report any damages or maintenance issues as soon as possible.
